The Ring

So a while ago, my dad mentioned he wanted to design a ring for Britt and I. Something that would be special that we could pass down to our daughters. I got really excited because my dad had designed a few rings in the past for mom and he is really talented! Dad mentioned it as a side note so I didnt expect that i would get it for, i dont know, a year or so. Well, in true fashion, Dad surprised us on Christmas with our rings. I cannot put into words how beautiful, special, unique (well Britts is just like mine with different colors) but they are the only ones like them because he designed them :). So a little background, Dad wanted to have them made in platinum, but as you can see the design is quite intricate.

Well apparently, the drying time is so fast with platinum that only one man in the US had the skill to cast them. So Brett, from Besco Jewelers received them back from the casting in Rhode Island (right dad?) in this form below.

And here is the finished product:

And here they are on our fingers :)

Dad did an incredible job. I love it so much, but I love him more. Seriously!

Christmas take 2 and 3

Here are pictures of our Christmas 2010. To say I am blessed is an understatement. I am so so so lucky to have two very loving families. We started our Christmas celebration at our house with my family Christmas Eve. We had a very delicious lasagna and a special dessert made by dad! Then we talked about memories and opened presents. Hope you enjoy the pics!

Above is a pic of Britt and I after Dad gave us these rings. Ill right a post about them in a second.

The next morning we went to Caleb's parents house to celebrate with their family. Can you believe we got there about 8 oclock and the kids were just waking up? They were very patient little girls!

I wrapped my gifts with candy on top so they couldnt wait to open mine. I know how to appeal to my audiences.

All Esther wanted for Christmas was bubble gum and Aunt Danielle and Uncle Brendon gave her a bubble gum machine! She loved it!

I always get the girls shoes. Here is Eden putting hers on!

We then sat down for breakfast. I made a coffeecake and thought it was so funny how Eden licked it instead of eating it. I guess it was pretty sweet :).

All the boys got fishing poles for Christmas! Such a great gift, Caleb loves to fish with his Dad and Brothers!

And thats how we ended our Christmas celebration... now on to vacation in Vegas!

Vegas!!

Our Family took a vacation to Vegas over the Christmas break. We had a great time! Here are some pictures.

Upon our arrival, we all went to dinner inside the hotel.

One morning all the boys came down to breakfast dressed alike. I think they have similar taste.

These are from the night we went to Seinfeld.

We also went to the Stratosphere and rode the roller coasters on the top of the hotel! It was so high! And Caleb even rode on some!

We went to a really nice restaurant in the Golden Nugget. Lots of yummy steak! And Caleb was being goofy.

Here is Britt by a huge Golden Nugget!

Then the family left and Caleb and I stayed for a few extra days. Here are some pics of our anniversary.

And the last day in Vegas!
